Today marks the official closure of AusCast - a place myself and the gaming community could call a home. However before disappearing into the fray, we have a number of people/organisations to thank for helping to make AusCast what it is today.
Firstly, we would like to thank our friends and sponsors at Dino-Hosting. From the get-go, they have supplied us with Team Fortress 2 gaming servers for casual fun and our Aussie Highlander tournament which unfortunately did not launch. We wish them all success for the future!
What good would our commentary be without matches to cover? That's why we'd also like to thank all the leagues (including Ozfortress, Cybergamer) and communities for letting us add our own touch of coverage and commentary.
netGameRadio and GameStah have been around helping us out from the beginning, supporting us with advice, tips and oppurtunities - one of which included the massive job of co-casting nGR's ClanSport TF2 Masters Series. We applogise that we now are unable to join them once again with the second series. Best of luck with the tournament!
Of course without funding, a web server and ventrilo hosting, we would not have been able to even get off the ground to begin with. That's why our next shoutout and thanks go to Krayt1x for funding our network and managing the servers behind the scenes!
Most importantly, we thank Naffler and GamersRequest for their partnership since the beginning - allowing us to share their streaming server, providing us with 24/7 online radio and their help in organisation, streaming and casting. Good luck fellas!
Last but not least, a big giant thank you to our staff, commnunity and friends who have put their time and effort into making things happen, and adding their dedication and love of gaming into the site. Without them, we would not have been anywhere near where we stand today.
We admit we've made some errors and caused some problems, but we'd like to thank our listeners and everyone out there for their patience, understanding and tolerance to simply let us be around. It's been a long journey since day one, and I hope we've made a difference in excelling the Australian eSports scene.
Thank you to our countless listeners for tuning in and Happy New Year!
See you on the battlefield!
